Healthy Holidays: Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Caramelized Onions (Recipe)

Tuesday, November 24, 2015

Take roasted Brussels sprouts up a notch with caramelized onions and roasted hazelnuts for a sensational side dish like none other!

It’s Day 2 of my “30 Recipes in 30 Days” series to help you enjoy the holidays healthfully without packing on the pounds. I’ll be featuring some of my favorite dishes from over the years through inspiring photos that take you right to the recipe. And, lest you think it will be all veggiess all the time, remember that Cooking & Eating the PK Way also includes a healthy dose of moderation, so you’ll be getting some traditional holiday desserts and beverages in here, too, as the month progresses.

Today’s recipe is roasted brussels sprouts with caramelized onions and toasted hazelnuts. As if roasted sprouts weren’t ravishing enough, tossing them with sweet onions and crunchy filberts truly make this Thanksgiving worthy. You can find the recipe here.
