The Nutrition Doctor is on Location: Boston Local Food Festival (Video)

Monday, October 8, 2012

PK Newby LogoI know, I know: you desperately wanted to get to the Boston Local Food Festival yesterday but couldn’t. Better things to do? Cat was sick? Don’t live in Boston? No desire whatsoever? Well, thanks to my wonderful videographer—who looks and behaves rather like my husband—I can bring my little piece of the festival to you. My role in the event was to teach participants to “do it yourself,” thus I took the opportunity to show people how to make salad dressing. Learn more about the three sensational salads I made in the clip below.

Keep checking back this week for the rest of the videos. In the meantime, here’s one additional post on salad and another discussing why I often have just a “big salad” for supper. (Yes, really, especially when accompanied by summer sweet corn-on-the-cob.) From more general nutrition info, here’s a comprehensive post that discusses why the devil’s in the details when it comes to diet. And please do check out my food and drink gallery and recipe page for all kinds of fantastic dinner salads along with soups, seafood, sweets, and so forth.

Stay tuned!
